However, we unanimously agree that every cinematic project demands immense dedication & efforts. At Baiscope we salute film makers, the cast and especially the crew, the nameless and often unrecognized creative folks for their travails, traumas and tensions. We understand the sweat and blood that goes into making these short films.
Baiscope is selective when it comes to reviewing short films. We do not have a soft corner for known actors, popular directors or big budget projects. We randomly pick up a film suggested by the team or when a request is made by the film maker. We believe in constructive criticism and therefore offer the same only when desired. Most of the times we are quite forgiving and this emotion stems from the fact that film making is a creative and pricey affair even in the short format and therefore rampant negative evaluation is simply not justified.
Having said that there are works which are simply not up to the mark and in these cases we tend to put our foot down and express our dissatisfaction.
