Old Fashioned Love

Introduction –

An incident, an interaction which can only be experienced by a handful of guys is the base of this film.

Synopsis –

Luke Kenny visits a nearly empty bar, orders a drink and then shifts his focus on sketching. ROUND 2 – Sehaj Maini, the bartender, offers him one of her specials. Luke appreciates the concoction. Sehaj takes the conversation to the next level. She confesses that she’s attracted to him. Luke is taken aback but refrains from judging her. After a short conversation about a woman being looked down upon in a typical patriarchal society if she takes the first step towards a man ends on a profound note, Sehaj ups the ante further …

Analysis –

There is a huge difference between “Gentle” approach and literally falling all over the place to seek attention or introduction. Drinking wine on duty, and that too in front of the customer and falling for someone within seconds … seems a little far-fetched. Luke shines with his controlled and timely pauses, and complementing expressions. On the other hand, Sehaj could have used a bit of intensity and imagination while delivering the dialogs. The chemistry between the two just isn’t there.
